updated 26 Jan 2005 Welcome to the first update of the ‘Trois de Cambayrac’
web site of 2005. Hopefully not the
last! Its all a matter of time. We’ve got lots of it, but as you can
understand most of it is spent working on the barn. Once again progress has been good with most
of our time spent putting up plasterboard and doing the plaster joint work. We’ve been very fortunate to have had dry
and warm weather throughout the Autumn and so we also progressed much
outside. We had many visitors during the summer and autumn and
our range of social activities seems to broaden all the time. As well as our Belote (a French card game)
which we play with friends and neighbours, we have traditional dance classes,
dance classes for more modern dance such as Le Rock and both Mark &
Salena are taking French lessons.
Whilst we both get on okay, we need to do more if we are ever to get
near-fluent. We hosted the Fete de Cambayrac and again enjoyed
wonderful weather. There was also the
range of other local fetes throughout the summer where we danced and made
merry on numerous occasions. Tais & Usha continue to be smart, and gorgeous and
they are always keen to ‘help’ us with our work. They recognize words for certain tools and
can bring them to us when asked. We’ve
a long way to go though before they can put on plaster. Something to do with lack of opposal thumb!
As usual, the diary of our progress can be found on the
next page and archive material can be found on the last page so that newcomers or regular readers can
peruse as much or as little as they wish.
As always, keep your messages coming. Our individual e-mail addresses are: Mark, Salena & Ian (The Cambayrac Three) |

Whilst looking through the website
you can enlarge the photos (if you wish) by just clicking on the image. To return to the site, click on ‘Back’
which can be found in the top left hand corner of your screen. Also, for some of the older photos, we have
just listed them (rather than you wasting time to download) and you can click
on the description to view them. A
list of these is on the last page under Archive Photos. |
